Police have continued the search today for a missing Wellington man and are trying to establish his possible dive and swim path.
Jinting Guo went missing after setting out for a dive in Titahi Bay on 19 October.
Police were alerted that he had not returned home on Sunday night, four days later.
A member of the public found diving equipment and a smart watch on the shore of Tirau Bay yesterday, said police.
Officers and Surf Life Saving also searched along the shoreline between Onehunga Bay and Green Point yesterday.
Police said the search effort continued today with LandSar Wellington conducting land-based shoreline searches.
Officers were consulting with local iwi and conducting other enquiries, including establishing Jinting's possible dive and swim path.
Members of the public who saw Jinting on Thursday or have seen an diving gear along the Titahi Bay coastline in the days since are being urged to contact police.
