Twenty-four-hour access through the Manawatu Gorge has been restored after a slip more than a week ago.

State Highway Three was closed for a week before one lane was opened on Friday during the day.
The slip area has been assessed and found to be safe, although one lane will remain closed while rockfall netting is installed to provide extra protection.
