Three people have been charged after a stabbing in central Auckland early this morning.
Police were called to the scene of an assault in the area of Wyndham Street/ Queen Street around 3.10am.
A man with a stab wound was found in Freyberg Place a short time later and was taken to Auckland Hospital, police said in a statement.
He was reported to be in a serious condition.
Four people were arrested after the assault.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and appeared in the Auckland District Court today.
Two teens have also been charged and will appear in the Auckland Youth Court.
The fourth person taken into custody was found to be in breach of his bail conditions.
He was due to appear in the Auckland Youth Court today in relation to breaching these conditions.
