The New Zealand dollar hit another post-float high of 99.49 Australian cents this morning, following some weaker than expected economic data out of the United States.
It was within half a cent of reaching parity, before easing back to 99.35 Australian cents, a short time ago.
It also rose more than one and a half cents against the US dollar to 76.3 cents, from its level late on Thursday, when the New Zealand market closed for the Easter weekend.
A short time ago it had eased back against the US dollar to 75.90.
It ended the week at 99.56.
