A strike at French Polynesia's international airport has prevented this morning's flight to depart for the United States.
Three unions issued a strike notice for better conditions.
They are also concerned about the future management of the airport in Faa'a, fearing that the change to a French company on April the 1st could impact on employment conditions.
The stoppage began at midnight and is for an indefinite period.
There is a shortage of firefighters needed to allow international flights to take-off, but domestic flights are not affected.
