The Department of Health in American Samoa is discouraging any sports, church and school groups from travelling to Samoa until the measles epidemic there is under control.
Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua says this is a precautionary measure to help safeguard local residents from catching the measles virus.
Up to now the territory doesn't have any locally born measles cases.
Two children from Samoa who were admitted to the LBJ Hospital with measles symptoms are recovering well and should be discharged soon.
The Health Director said groups coming from Samoa would not be accepted unless they had proof of immunisation.
