A portion of the Christchurch Northern Corridor has opened to traffic for the first time.
The new motorway from Cranford St to near the Waimakariri River Bridge/ State Highway One will be open to traffic for an initial period of two weeks.
The partial opening is to help bed in the chip seal surface.
