Infrastructure investor Infratil is stepping up its investments in renewable energy.

Infratil is investing alongside the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) in Mint Renewables, to be managed by Infratil's manager Morrison & Co.

Former Tilt Renewables chief executive Deion Campbell would take over as chair of the board.

The companies will invest A$300 million over the next three to five years, with Infratil's share being A$219m.

"Infratil's investment with CSC combines supportive long-term capital with significant local market knowledge and experience, built up during more than two decades of successful participation in the Australian energy sector," Campbell said.
