The entire independent group in the Solomon Islands parliament has joined the government replacing six of the seven ministers who resigned last week.
The office of the Prime Minister has confirmed the government side is being joined by the leader of the Independents, Manasseh Maelanga, and his members.
A swearing in ceremony for five of the new ministers is planned for this afternoon.
A motion of no confidence brought against the Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare by the opposition group is scheduled for Friday.
