Team New Zealand has finished third at the Extreme Sailing regatta in China, retaining overall third place in the series.
With strong winds gusts of up to 25 knots on the Qingdao course, conditions were difficult for the sailors and the fleet was reduced to two divisions of six boats to minimise the risk of collision.
The regatta marked Peter Burling's first time at the helm for Team New Zealand replacing Dean Barker.
The next regatta is at St Petersburg in Russia, at the end of June with Burling set to be at the helm again.
The Swiss syndicate Alinghi won the regatta and is first overall, after three of the eight regattas in the series.
