State Highway 1 north of Auckland is closed after a serious crash left two people with serious injuries.
A rescue helicopter was going to the scene near Te Hana bridge north of Wellsford.
The police say the road is blocked in both directions and traffic diversions are in place.
People are urged to avoid the area.
