New Caledonia has registered two more Covid-19 cases in its quarantine facilities, bringing its tally to 32.
Both individuals have been transferred to the dedicated isolation unit at the hospital.
One of them is a member of the French military whose contacts are now being investigated.
Last week, a French soldier tested positive for Covid-19 case a day after arriving from France.
The border is largely closed and flights are strictly limited under a plan which will remain in force until at least in July.
The other main French territory in the Pacific, French Polynesia, recorded more than 12,000 Covid-19 cases after reopening for tourism in July and abolishing quarantine requirements.
