Police are investigating after a group of young women smashed up a South Auckland house in an aggravated robbery earlier this morning.
Officers were called to the scene on Albion Road in Ōtāhuhu at about 3.15am on Wednesday.
The occupant was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
A neighbour in the flat next door said nothing like this had happened before.
She heard loud banging coming from the front of the house and said it was scary.
The neighbour said the attackers were young.
At the scene, some windows on the front of the flat had been shattered, and an occupant's car was also damaged.
Police said their investigation was still in the early stages, and that they were looking into the circumstances of the incident and whether those involved knew each other.
Officers remained at the scene and a scene examination was taking place.
