A woman who experienced sexual harassment in the New Zealand Navy is not surprised that fresh sexual misconduct allegations have surfaced in the military. The Defence Force revealed on Wednesday that nine people at Waiouru camp have been stood down - two commanding officers, who are not under investigation, and seven instructors. Hayley Young has been fighting an ongoing Court action against the Defence Force over sexual harassment and rape she suffered while in the navy. She told RNZ reporter Ann Marie May she and other female recruits were warned in their initial training about the culture in the armed forces.
