James Marape said witnesses who exposed corruption or misuse of power should be better protected.

He said the review was part of a legislative package being put together by his deputy, Davis Steven, which includes the creation of an Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Mr Marape said a draft bill would be refined by cabinet before being tabled in parliament.
