Three injured in Hawke's Bay stabbing, family violence incidents

Three people are injured, including two seriously, after two assaults in Hawke's Bay.

Police were called to Countdown on Carlyle St in Napier just after 7pm to reports of a stabbing in the car park.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and a second man was arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He appeared in Hastings District Court on Thursday morning.

An hour later, police were called to a family assault on Stonehaven St in Flaxmere, where two people were injured - one seriously and one moderately - and taken to hospital.

The person responsible has not yet been found.
