More disruption to Wellington train service

15:12 pm on 10 August 2011

Trans Metro is warning there will be another round of delays to Wellington rail services on Wednesday due to staff sickness and training.

Twenty-four services were disrupted on Tuesday; 10 were replaced by buses and the rest were cancelled.

Trans Metro says it will use a different timetable from Wednesday afternoon to try and avoid similar problems.

Buses will replace all services on the Melling line from 3pm-7pm, while the Hutt Valley and Waikanae lines will be replaced by a 20-minute service.
