A man is dead and a woman injured after they were hit by lightning in northern New South Wales, Australia.
Emergency services were called to the summit of Mount Warning, northwest of Byron Bay, early this morning where it was believed the pair were camping.
Last night rolling storms and constant lightning lashed the region.
The five-hour round trip walk up the mountain is popular with tourists who watch the sunrise from the summit.
