Police said they received a report about 11.40am of an aggravated robbery of a New Windsor dairy, where items were stolen by two individuals with a weapon.

A New Windsor superette worker was assaulted in another incident of aggravated robbery a few minutes later.

Police said shortly afterwards, a person at McDonald's on Stoddard Road had their vehicle stolen after being pulled out of it.

An Eagle helicopter was used monitor the vehicle, which had failed to stop for police.

Police said it was seen travelling at high speed, carrying out dangerous manoeuvres and frequently driving on the wrong side of the road.

Despite a tyre deflation device being used, the vehicle continued to drive erratically. It was later stopped by multiple police units when it tried to enter the South-Western Motorway using the Walmsley Road on-ramp.

Two people were taken into custody in relation to the incidents.

Police said inquiries were ongoing and charges were likely.
