The restoration of Christchurch's quake-damaged Town Hall is expected to begin in mid-July.
The building will be refurbished and strengthened to 100 percent of the new building standard at a cost of $127.5 million. Hawkins Construction expects to complete the workin 2018.
City council manager of anchor projects Liam Nolan says the experience of Hawkins Construction's project team was a key reason the company was chosen to do the restoration.
Mr Nolan said the firm was committeed to bringing the project in on time and within budget.
