A 29-year old man accused of stabbing a man in Hamilton on Saturday evening has appeared in court.

He's charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after an incident in Tristram Street.
The victim remains in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital's intensive care unit.
The accused appeared in the Hamilton District Court and was granted interim name suppression.
He's been remanded in custody to reappear later this month.
