Customs officers to strike

11:55 am on 26 September 2011

Industrial action by Customs and Border Protection officers will cause delays at international airports in Australia from Tuesday.

Customs says it has been advised by the Community and Public Sector Union that its members will hold one and two-hour strikes at airports, ports and mail facilities.

The ABC reports passengers are being advised to expect delays in processing because only a small number of personnel will be available during the strikes.
