Telecom New Zealand customers are still experiencing a fault, which has left them unable to make calls to Fiji for most of this week.
A spokeswoman for the company says customers may still be experiencing intermittent faults.
She says telecom engineers are working with their counterparts in Fiji, with the problem believed to be in Fiji.
There is no estimate for when the problem will be resolved.
