The outcome of an investigation at a private Christchurch school, where posters promoting the Black Lives Matter movement were torn down, is to remain confidential.
Earlier, St Andrew's School students said a teacher took down the posters and verbally abused them for putting them up - even though they had received prior approval from college management.
Rector Christine Leighton said the teacher's outburst was now a disciplinary matter, but the outcome would not be made public.
In a statement to parents, the rector said that the teacher was Ngāi Tahu and had dedicated her life to opportunities for Māori.
