Retail price of petrol and diesel cut

13:37 pm on 12 March 2009

BP and Shell have cut their retail price of petrol by five cents per litre and diesel by two cents per litre.

The companies say the drop is due to decreases in the international cost of refined oil.

The price is now $1.58.9 per litre for 91 octane, $1.63.9 per litre for 95 octane and 98.9 cents per litre for diesel at most stations.
