Fiji and New Zealand will today formalise an agreement in Suva to allow Fijians to take part in the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme.
The RSE brings Pacific Islanders to New Zealand to work for six to eight months in the horticulture and viticulture sectors.
More than 5,000 Pacific Islanders are involved in the scheme on an annual basis but Fiji's initial involvement will be a pilot group of 30.
Fiji Live reports they are due to arrive in New Zealand next February.
