Vanuatu's Tripartite Labour Advisory Council says it may raise the country's minimum wage when it meets in the second week of March.
In an earlier meeting this month the Minister of Labour's first political adviser John Salong said the increase should have been made last year but was deferred due to the widespread destruction caused by Cyclone Pam in March.
Other areas also being considered by the council include severance allowances, the Employment Relations Bill and the Decent Work Country Programme.
