Police want help to find eight gang members involved in a violent attack at a Gisborne bar earlier this month.
Detective Sergeant Eric Hunter said at least eight men seriously assaulted three victims shortly before 12am on 2 August.
The victims were kicked, punched, stomped on and hit with weapons.
"The victims suffered moderate injuries including a broken finger, lacerations, abrasions with one also being knocked unconscious for a significant period of time during the assaults," Hunter said.
Anyone with video footage or information was asked to contact police.
"Police would particularly like any footage or sightings on between 11:50pm on 2 August and 12:30am on 3 August."
Police believed a lot of people had filmed the incident on their cell phones.
Hunter said it was the second violent incident in a public setting by gang members in the last month in the Gisborne/ Wairoa area.
"Investigators are working hard in both cases to hold those gang members involved to account."
Three Mongrel Mob gang members aged 21, 28 and 43 and a 37-year-old associate were arrested and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
They were due to appear in Gisborne District Court on Monday.
Police expect to arrest a further four gang members in coming days.
