King Tuheitia left the Waikato Hospital yesterday.

In a statement, a spokesperson, Tukoroirangi Morgan said King Tuheitia was under strict instructions from his doctors to rest.

He said the King was humbled by the messages of support and sympathy, which he has received.

Meanwhile, Mr Morgan, did not return Te Manu Korihi's calls to discuss who would represent King Tuheitia in the meantime.

The Maori King's Council held a hui last week to discuss what needs to be put in place while the King is sick.

However, a spokesperson at the Maori King's office told Te Manu Korihi that the Maori King's duties, such as attending tribal hui will be shared amongst a group of people.
