Manawatu residents are still shovelling mud out of their flood-damaged properties after last week's downpour.
For three days those living along Reu Reu Road in rural Manawatu, about 30 kilometres north of Feilding, were cut off from the outside world because of flood damage to bridges.
The road was repaired over the weekend, allowing Manawatu reporter Jimmy Ellingham in for a look as residents clean up the mess.
