Motorists in CNMI welcome lower petrol prices

Motorists in the Northern Mariana Islands are hoping that gasoline prices will continue to drop.

Two petrol stations, Mobil Oil Marianas and Shell Marianas have cut their prices twice this month.

According to the Marianas Variety, the price of Regular gas reached 5.15 US dollars a gallon before it was rolled back to 5.05 on May the 8th before dropping a further ten cents to 4.95 a gallon.

Mobil reduced its price on Friday morning with Shell following in the evening.

The price of Premium gas dropped 5.37 to 5.27 a gallon and diesel went down from 5.41 to 5.31 a gallon.
