A British tourist died while swimming at a beach in Coromandel yesterday, police say.

Police said Andrew Massey, a 68-year-old from Kent, was swimming with his family at Ocean Beach in Tairua when he got into trouble in the water shortly before 6pm.
He was brought to shore but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Police said their thoughts were with Mr Massey's loved ones.
His death will be referred to the Coroner.
