A woman has died after falling from Lion Rock in Piha.
She was found at the bottom of the rock shortly before three o'clock on Saturday morning.
Police believe she was climbing the rock with friends when she fell. They are not treating the death as suspicious.
The woman's name will be released when her family in Australia is told about her death.
