Council to decide dog attack charges

14:04 pm on 15 August 2014

The Auckland Council will decide next week whether to lay charges after a dog left an Auckland boy with horrific wounds.

The dog that attacked four-year-old Shepard Mea earlier this month has already been destroyed.

The boy was bitten at a state house in Otahuhu, and suffered serious head injuries.

Auckland Council staff have been deciding whether to prosecute. They have indicated that more than one person could be charged.
