Large blaze at Dunedin panelbeaters

23:27 pm on 16 June 2015

Fire crews have been damping down a fire at a panelbeating shop on Wharf Street in central Dunedin.

Crews from six fire engines and an aerial appliance fought the blaze in a building that houses the Bodyline Collision and Paint auto repair shop, near the railway station.

The Fire Service says the premises were well ablaze when firefighters arrived.

The fire broke out shortly before 9pm.

Staff from Mosgiel were brought in to support Dunedin crews.

The cause of the fire will be investigated later today.
