Another vehicle inspector has been suspended from issuing warrants of fitness after it was found an unauthorised person was carrying out inspections.
The Transport Agency said Brad Harrison from Kerikeri Autohaus had an unauthorised inspector issuing WOFs on pre-signed check sheets.
It said there was a strong possibility some vehicles may have been incorrectly passed.
People who have a current Warrant of Fitness from from the business should get their vehicles re-checked, the agency said.
Another man, Yaea Wongchiu and his company Gee J Auto Services and Tyres was also suspended today, after police pulled over a modified car in Porirua, north of Wellington.
They found that just two hours earlier it was issued a WoF in Auckland, some eight hours drive away.
