The State Services Commission says it has begun a review of its guidelines on bullying and harassment in the workplace following the resignation of the chief executive of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority.
Roger Sutton resigned after an investigation upheld complaints from a senior staff member about sexual harassment.
In a statement today, the commission said its review would be incorporated in work being carried out by union the Public Services Association.
Commissioner Iain Rennie has written to all chief executives of government organisations, reminding them of their obligations as good employers and their responsibility to have processes in place to deal with complaints.
