Two soldiers have been wounded after their helicopter crashed in a river in New Caledonia.
Yesterday's incident happened during a training flight in the Tontouta valley.
Two of the four occupants of the navy Alouette 3 helicopter were taken to hospital in Noumea but were reported not to be in danger.
The New Caledonian army command says the accident happened near the international La Tontouta airport.
Aerial search and rescue crew were immediately sent to the crash site and an inquiry's been opened to find out what caused it.
