A prominent businessman jailed for indecently assaulting three men will remain in prison while he awaits an appeal against his conviction and sentence.
The man, who still has name suppression, was found guilty of three charges of indecent assault and two of attempting to dissuade a witness, after a four-week trial earlier this year.
Last month, he was jailed for two years and four months, but the man's lawyer David Jones QC has filed an appeal against his convictions and sentence.
He sought bail for his client, pending an appeal hearing, but this was declined by Justice Venning.
Jones challenged that in the Court of Appeal, but in a decision released this morning, the appeal against the bail decision was dismissed.
The businessman's manager, and well-known entertainer Mika X have been sentenced for home detention for their parts in the attempts to get a witness to drop his complaint.
