Air New Zealand says it is yet to resume flights to Nouméa's international airport in New Caledonia as the airport is not open.
It was reported on Wednesday that commercial flights had resumed on a limited basis.
The airport was closed after destructive riots broke out on 13 May mainly because the main road access between Nouméa and the airport was blocked by numerous barricades erected by groups of protesters.
Air Calédonie International has put on a limited number of international flights.
But Air New Zealand says the airport has not technically reopened, and it is yet to restart flights there.
Six flights last month brought more than 250 New Zealanders home after they were stranded in New Caledonia when the airport closed.
