The search for a missing soldier will continue throughout the weekend at Lake Moawhango near Waiouru in the central North Island.
Private Michael Ross fell overboard from an inflatable boat while on a training exercise on Tuesday evening.
Police say dive teams are continuing the search and the Whanganui Coastguard is also looking for him.
