A man is due to appear in court on Monday after a nurse was stabbed at a Christchurch Hospital. The nurse was assaulted while on duty on Sunday. Just last week another nurse was attacked at the same hospital unit, she was also on duty when a patient threw boiling water over her, and there was another attack at the facility in May this year. The Canterbury District Health board says no level of violence towards staff or anyone else is acceptable, and a review process is underway to understand what happened and how to reduce the chance of a recurrence. Ruth Money is a victims advocate, including for Wendy Hamer who was stabbed, punched and scalded with boiling water by a patient in 2009. She talks to Guyon Espiner.
