WHO warns Pacific travellers over Auckland measles outbreak

In the wake of the measles outbreak in New Zealand, the World Health Organisation says travellers to and from Auckland should be fully immunised.

The WHO's Pacific Health Coordinator, Dr Angela Merianos, says with over 750 confirmed cases in Auckland travellers must be aware of their immunisation status.

She says the last outbreak of measles in the Pacific Islands was in 2014.

Dr Merianos told Jenny Meyer people who think they may be infected should not fly.
