The 20-year-old woman claimed she had reported the matter to the Cook Islands police, but nothing was done.

Her lawyer in Fiji Sabrina Iqbal Khan has told the Fiji Sun that she left the Cook Islands with the help of people from Fiji, the Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia and the Middle East.

The woman alleged the sexual abuse started when she was 14 years old.

Her mother said her daughter's allegations were false.

The young woman was reported missing by the family in the Cook Islands.
