Two teenagers, 14 and 16, attempted to ram raid a service station in Whanganui early this morning.
The pair will be charged with burglary and taking a motor vehicle.
Police said an alarm went off at a BP station and they arrived to find a stolen car with significant damage, as well as damage to the shop front.
They said after the teens rammed the shop, their car slid down a slope and collided with a petrol pump.
The pair ran off with a small amount of chocolate and were found in the area 30 minutes later.
