Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong has pledged her Government will increase its development assistance to Pacific Island countries by $US900 million.
Wong made the announcement at the Pacific Way Conference in Papeete, French Polynesia.
She said Australia is deepening its role as a development partner in the Pacific region.
