Taranaki police are investigating after a man was found dead at a property in Tāngarākau, about 50 kilometres southwest of Taumaranui.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 7am this morning.
Police say initial indications are the man died from injuries and it is being treated as suspicious.
A scene examination is underway.
