Just two New Zealanders are up for honours after the shortlist was announced for the ICC 2014 cricket awards.
Black Caps all-rounders Corey Anderson and Jimmy Neesham are up for the Emerging Cricketer of the Year award along with Englishmen Gary Ballance and Ben Stokes.
Australia's Mitchell Johnson and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara are in line to win their second Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for Cricketer of the Year.
Another Sri Lankan, Angelo Mathews, and South African AB de Villiers are the other finalists.
The Test Cricketer of the Year finalists are Mitchell Johnson (Aus), Angelo Mathews (SL),Kumar Sangakkara (SL) and David Warner (Aus).
The ODI Cricketer of the Year finalists are Quinton de Kock (SA), AB de Villiers (SA), Virat Kohli (Ind) and Dale Steyn (SA).
The Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year finalists are Charlotte Edwards (Eng), Mithali Raj (Ind), Sarah Taylor (Eng) and Stafanie Taylor (WI)

The ICC Women's T20 Cricketer of the Year finalists are Charlotte Edwards (Eng), Meg Lanning (Aus), Mithali Raj (Ind) and Stafanie Taylor (WI).
Meanwhile three New Zealand cricketers have been named in the ICC's Test team of the year.
Batsman Kane Williamson and bowler Tim Southee make the eleven, while Ross Taylor was named 12th man.

It is the 7th time that Sangakkara and Steyn have been selected to the Test team.

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been selected in the ICC ODI Team of the Year for the eighth time (seventh year in a row), while it is the fifth year that he has been appointed captain.
