The Institution of Professional Engineers is due to hold a disciplinary hearing for the man who led the design of the CTV building which collapsed in the February 2011 earthquake, killing 115 people.
The public hearing will be held in Christchurch on 14 July into David Harding's work on the building, with a panel consisting of at least three people.
A spokesperson for IPENZ says the details of the hearing and the panel are being finalised this week, with a public notice due to be advertised on Saturday.
IPENZ dropped a similar investigation into Mr Harding's employer, Alan Reay, as he resigned from the voluntary engineering body earlier this year.
