The body of 56-year-old Murray Taylor was recovered yesterday afternoon.

In a statement the family said he was a loved and dearly treasured man.

They said their 'thank you' extends to the recovery team and everyone involved.

Inspector Corrie Parnell said the tragic event had affected not only Mr Taylor's family but the wider Hurunui community.
